A Hackathon during the NEXT BLOCK Conference that will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria, on September 14. This one-day collaborative event is co-organized with the world's leading blockchain and cryptocurrency companies, including Paysafe, a world leader in global payments, LimeChain as a blockchain consulting partner, community management guru MaZee and IOTW.

Hackathon participants will have a whole day full of fun, coding, and hacking, competing for a total prize of 10,000 BGN and 10,000 USD in IOTW tokens.

Each team will have to pitch their work in front of a jury of industry experts, who will select the best solution and award the prizes. The first place winner will get 5,000 BGN and $5,000 in IOTW tokens.

All Hackathon participants will get invitations to the Conference's epic After-party co-organized by Fashion TV, where the Award ceremony will take place and top-three teams will get free tickets to the next NEXT BLOCK, which will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, on November 9.

Apart from fun, the challenge, and drive to compete, the hackathon event offers exciting business opportunities to all teams as they will have a chance to shine to their advantage before a jury of renowned experts.

Who can participate?

The NEXT BLOCK Hackathon in Sofia invites teams inspired by blockchain technology and interested in creating a product or developing a solution for crypto trading. Each team should have five members at maximum, registered together. There will be up to 12 teams participating in the event, so if you want to give it a go, don't put off the application until the last minute. 


What the hack?

The teams will have two challenges to choose from:

Blockchain technology & smart contracts – a business enabler: the task is to build a solution for the transfer of ownership, multi-party transactions and seamless communications based on smart contracts and blockchain technology.

Cryptocurrencies exchange & trading – infrastructure, automation, and tooling: the task is to create a tool, a trading bot, an infrastructure or an algorithm to be used within the cryptocurrency trading ecosystem.
